I hope to learn enough grammar that I can compose sentences on my own, and also understand each word that is spoken to me in Spanish. This includes idiomatic expressions, of which there seem to be so many! Since my husband and I don't like the tight structure of most tours, my hope is to learn Spanish well enough that we could travel to Spanish-speaking countries and get around on our own.
To reiterate... food, cooking, culture, directions and to make friends.
It was a Weebly Subscription that I responded to, so it did come from this site. Mystery solved! (Phew!)
I would like to be able to, generally, converse in basic Spanish with others who may not be able to speak English very well and, in the event of an emergency, offer assistance, guidance, support to another. Also, I'd like to expand beyond "carne asada burrito, por favor." :-)
