Good morning everyone,
I am out with an eye issue, but I am doing O.K. The major concern is the pain in my eye and the fact that I can't drive because I cannot see. In my absense, please continue practicing inviting people to a celebration and complete your personalized invitations. Please use Page 317, Activity 2 from the textbook to help guide your invitation work; however, you must make the invitation a personalized reflection of the type of celebration you have in your home. Here are the required elements for your personal invitation:
Below you will find a list of items due for the end of the semester. Please work on these over the weekend.

Feliz Día de Hallowe'en! For your whole-class project tomorrow, each student must bring one object to add to our class altar in celebration of Day of the Dead. Remember that this day is a combination of European and Indigenous traditions, and represents the crossing of Catholic heritage with Aztec and Maya traditions in México. The objects you bring in must pertain to the cultural tradition and/or the person who has died. The class with the most decorated, culturally accurate, and meaningful altar as voted by ten teachers/administrators will win a class treat: donut party and cartoon day Friday with no evaluation.
